Victoria's Biography

Fostering Innovation, Transformation & Building Partnerships

Victoria Belbin brings new perspectives to boardrooms and business. She has combined

two passions: advocating for the wellbeing of Newfoundland and Labrador through her

work and supporting her community through volunteering. A proven, effective and

compelling leader with a strong, national reputation, Victoria is currently channeling her

experience, strategic thinking, and business acumen into her role as Chief Executive

Officer for the Atlantic Canada Aerospace & Defence Association (ACADA) and to her

community through many volunteer board positions.

Since joining ACADA in 2021, she has been a driving force in fostering innovation and

collaboration within Atlantic Canada’s aerospace and defence sectors. Under her

leadership, ACADA has strengthened its role as a catalyst for industry growth, bringing

together key stakeholders and spearheading initiatives that amplify the region’s

contributions to Canada’s economy.

Victoria has held previous positions as Chief Executive Officer of the Canadian Home

Builders’ Association Newfoundland and Labrador (CHBA-NL) and Executive Director with

the Newfoundland and Labrador Regional Economic Development Association.

In addition, Victoria has significant corporate governance, business, and management

experience in complex regulatory environments and has lead industry organizations.

She has served as a Board member for Crown Corporations, Not-for-Profit organizations,

and charities. Her Board experience includes the Workplace Health and Safety

Commission (WNL), NL Liquor Corporation, Habitat for Humanity, Cancer Care

Foundation, Historic Sites Association, Wonderbolt Circus, TaskForceNL, and most

recently, Victoria has been appointed to Rideau Hall Foundation, further cementing her

influence and dedication to advancing leadership in Canada.

Victoria holds a Master of Marine Studies and a BA (Hons) History /Sociology from

Memorial University. She earned her ICD.D designation through the Institute for Corporate

Directors.

Victoria resides in St. John’s with her husband Bruce Belbin and has 3 grown children.
